Delete Your Account and Data

You can permanently delete your Bandwagn account and all data associated with it at any time. You do not need to contact us; deletion happens immediately from inside the app.

Delete from the app

Open Bandwagn and sign in.
Go to Profile, then tap the ⚙️ Settings button in the top right.
Scroll to Delete account and tap Delete my account…
Type DELETE in the confirmation box and tap Delete forever.

Your account is deleted right away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

Your profile: name, photos, background image, birthdate, bio, city and location, instruments, genres, bands, band history, links, shows played, and what you are looking for.
Your email address, password, and any Google or Facebook sign-in links.
All messages you sent and all your conversations.
Your saved searches, thumbs ups, "Let's Jam" requests, blocks, activity feed, and push notification registrations.
Uploaded images are removed from storage.

Thumbs ups you gave to other people are withdrawn so their counts stay accurate. A minimal anonymised record of the account id is kept so that other users' data stays consistent; it contains no personal information. Routine server logs that may include your IP address are retained for up to 30 days and then discarded.

If you signed in with Google or Facebook

Deleting your Bandwagn account removes the link to your Google or Facebook account and everything we received from them. It does not change anything on Google or Facebook themselves. You can also revoke Bandwagn's access from your Google account permissions or your Facebook "Apps and Websites" settings.

Can't access the app?

If you can no longer sign in, email [email protected] from the email address on your account, or tell us the name and city on your profile, and we will delete the account for you within 30 days and confirm by email.

Deleting only some data

You can remove individual photos, bands, links, and other profile details from the Profile screen at any time, hide your age, or turn off "looking for a band" to stop appearing in searches, without deleting your account.
